Learning Outcome 3

Active reading for me involves annotations, whether that’s underlining things or making notes in the margins. I typically choose both methods to get the full experience of understanding and fully comprehending the articles. When annotating, I underline key phrases, sentences, or even just words that seem to really stand out. I will typically put a star near things that answer any questions throughout the article and then mark with a question mark where I;m not fully sure what something means. Part of annotating is also finding words you don’t know the meaning of, looking them up, then going back to the section to understand what it meant now that you know the meaning of the word or phrase.
